Wassup. This is
Collin Clay Chace, also known by my rocker name,
Juha.
I've played roles from white neo-nazis to black drag queens, from green lab monkeys to orange aliens. That being said, I wouldn't mind being the next James Bond.
I've gotten some awards for my performance work, including a Fellowship from the Rhode Island State Council on the Arts, a Threshold Grant, a Horizons Foundation Grant, a Self-Education Foundation Grant, and a Residency at the Jon Sims Center for the Performing Arts. That's my history in America, before landing in London. Still got the old accent.
My two Juha albums - The Grooms of God and Polari (both released by Agitprop! Records) - got some pretty rad acclaim. Do check out the reviews here. I came from Hip Hop, then evolved into doing what I call "Gothic Soul Music." My next album, The Skeletons of Victor, runs the gamut from disco songs about prostitution to industrial voodoo tracks.
Having recently starred in the upcoming UK feature film Break My Fall, my current project is a solo show called The Shroud-Eaters. In it you'll meet: Johnny Love Lotion, the host of "The Rock N Wrestle Road Show"; hieress Delilah Bardeaux Counterbee, who's become a peace activist because war is interfering with her sex life; Luis, an 8-year-old boy obsessed with Justin Timberlake; and London Tube Station announcer Junie, who encourages you to join the SPCA for animals at every stop.
So yeah: Collin Clay Chace is the name. I'm also a wealth of knowledge about "one hit wonders" from the 80's.
